| Joe has over 20 years of corporate finance experience with a background in mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructurings, corporate finance, strategic planning and marketing. As a founding partner of The Spectrum Capital Group, Joe assists business owners and boards of directors with debt and equity financings, buy-side and sell side M&A, growth initiatives, valuation, exit/succession planning as well as restructurings and workouts for financially distressed companies. He has experience with clients in manufacturing, retail, distribution, high technology, business services and consumer products. Clients have ranged in size from $3 million in sales to large publicly held companies. Prior to forming The Spectrum Capital Group, Joe was a Vice President of Fulcrum Capital Advisors LP, a financial advisory firm providing financial and acquisition related services to consumer products companies. Joe was also a member of the start-up development team for Zoezone.com, an e-commerce company directed at the teenage girls market, which was later sold to a public company. Joe was the Director of Corporate Development and later promoted to the Treasurer of a direct marketing and manufacturing company that grew from $12 million to $80 million in revenues in just four years. Joe’s primary responsibilities included completing three middle-market acquisitions and several debt and equity financings. Early in his career, Joe was a CPA with Arthur Andersen & Company in New York City, and a financial associate at Merrill Lynch in New York City. Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude from the George Washington University, attended Columbia Business School's MBA program and Harvard Business School's Executive Financial Management Program. Joe is a CPA, a licensed General Securities Principal (Series 24, 7, 63) with the National Association of Securities Dealers, a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), and a member of the Association for Corporate Growth. He has written articles on various corporate finance topics and has lectured at universities, professional organizations and trade association conferences. Joe has served on the board of several private companies and is currently a member of the board of directors of Exprezit Convenience Stores LLC, an operator of 137 convenience store/gas stations in the southeastern U.S. He is a member of the Institutional Advancement Committee for the Wheeler School in Rhode Island and is a member of Ledgemont Country Club. |
