| Sean is a leader in the firm’s Exit and Succession Strategy practice. He also assists in originating and executing corporate finance transactions. Sean has over 20 years experience as an entrepreneur, investor and corporate consultant. He has focused on corporate strategy, marketing and building value through operations and information technology. Prior to joining Spectrum, Sean was in private practice providing interim-CEO and business development services to clients in a broad range of industries including printing, consumer products, software, financial services, and manufacturing. Most recently he helped a $6B printing company integrate a new acquisition into an existing division. He was also Interim- CEO for a new brand launched by a major consumer products company (soap), where he lead the product development and market launch for a specialty bath line, driving product development and obtaining major retail chain acceptance in over 4,000 doors for the new brand in under 18 months. Prior to consulting, Sean founded an internet marketing-services company (CommerceTone) which he successfully grew to over 70,000 customers and sold to a Chicago-based firm, Mercantec. Post-acquisition, he led the merged company’s business development efforts, resulting in an offer to purchase Mercantec for $60MM. Prior to founding CommerceTone, Sean worked at Mitsubishi Electric ITA as Vice President of Business Development where he assisted the company in selling non-performing assets, established a Japan-based VC structure, and revamped the division's marketing strategy. Sean also has extensive strategy consulting experience gained while working at Mercer Management Consulting as an Engagement Manager in the Technology and Telecom Practice. Sean received his MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business, as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. |
