John Irick, Vice President

John is principally responsible for evaluating and assisting financially distressed clients
improve and enhance the financial management and analytical functions of their
businesses. John also participates in originating and executing corporate finance
transactions.

Prior to joining Spectrum, John was recruited to manage a $170+ million distressed
technology company as its CFO/COO. There, over a two-year period, John corrected a
negative cash flow situation, bankruptcy-proofed the business, refinanced the company’s
$30 million of secured debt and secured a buyer for the business at the owner’s request.
From 1998 to 2000, John founded and operated an international manufacturing
consortium that designed, manufactured and installed retail fixtures in major national
shopping malls. From 1990-1998, John was the CFO and COO of a value added
computer reseller. During his tenure with the company he oversaw the expansion from
$7.8 million in sales to $135 million in sales and year over year profit increase. Major
responsibilities included oversight of financial affairs, government, tax and audit
compliance, strategic planning and information systems. He also implemented a zero
inventory model. From 1981-1990, John had a CPA practice with clients in a variety of
industries including a high concentration of multi-unit retail operators.

John is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, a certified public accountant and a US
Army veteran where he served in military intelligence.
